How can I request a donation to a charitable organization from Al Mar Knives?

  Al Mar Knives is pleased to contribute to worthy causes and make a concerted effort to accommodate as many requests as possible. Please use the following guidelines when submitting a request.

Guidelines for charitable donations:

• Requests must be submitted in writing on event/organization letterhead.
• Requests must be received at least eight weeks prior to the event or any media deadlines. 
• Please allow four weeks to process your request.
• Al Mar Knives will respond to your request either way, via fax or e-mail.
• Please do not call Al Mar Knives regarding the status of your request.
• Please include a contact name, address, fax number and e-mail address in your proposal of the person that should receive the donation.
• Please provide the appropriate documentation stating your organization is categorized as 501c3 under the Internal Revenue Service code.” 
• Al Mar Knives does not make financial contributions.
• Requests should not exceed one written page in length. 
• Summarize the event or organization's objectives and purpose and provide a description of the event or program.
• List other partners participating in the event or program, if any. 
• Provide the estimated attendance and demographics of the audience.  
• Please explain how the donation will be recognized in promotion of the event, at the event and post-event. Your request will not be considered without this information.
• If you do not meet all of these requirements your request will not be considered
• After the event, we ask that a note be sent to Al Mar Knives to acknowledge receipt of the donation and include any photos taken at the event. 
  
  
Al Mar Knives does not make contributions to the support of:
• Organizations lacking proof of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Service code
• Endowments
• Annual operating support fund drives
• Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex or national origin
• Individuals
